Grace Episcopal Church
13 Court Street
Cortland, NY

CORTLAND, NY

The Arts at Grace will present its third annual all American music concert at 4:00 PM. on Sunday, May 25th at Grace Episcopal Church. This year's concert will feature the music of Samuel Barber, William Bolcom, Carlisle Floyd, and Irving Berlin performed by musicians well known to audiences from The Arts at Grace and all over Central New York. A special treat will be a new chamber choir formed by soprano Marion Giambattista that will perform Reincarnations, an a cappella choral work by Barber. Concert instrumentalists will be violinist Bill Hurley and Lois Pfister, violist Suzanne Miller, cellist Heidi Hoffman, and pianist William Cowdery. Baritone Steven Stull, soprano Julia Ebner, and mezzo soprano Ivy Buterbaugh will each sing several works. The concert will conclude with several songs of Irving Berlin, including "Cheek to Cheek" and "Anything You Can Do." The audience will join in with the rousing "God Bless America"

Come and join the Arts at Grace in both commemorating the somber nature of this special holiday and celebrating American music and song. There is no charge for admission. The Arts at Grace is a community outreach effort of Grace Episcopal Church with the assistance of many contributors from the greater Cortland community. The series is also supported by a Vision Grant from the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York, funds from the New York State Council of the Arts and from the New York State Music Fund, established by New York Attorney General at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
